I had the good fortune to spend IWD with a fabulous group of women and three of our herd. The sun shone, and although it was far from warm we all enjoyed being in nature with the horses and in connection with each other. I noticed how we all slowed down and breathed out, a collective sigh and a small step away from our day to day lives. I was struck by a comment from one participant about how she noticed how powerful and gentle the horses were. They are large animals, which can be intimidating, they can move quickly, faster than we can and in an instant stop, drop their heads and offer a gentle nose or nudge.
